Visual Studio 2013 is just around the corner however no new feature has been announced for Visual Studio Visualization and Modeling SDK (was DSL SDK).
No, really ? Don’t forget the indomitable Gauls that still holds out established order.


Summer is here nonetheless we propose you to test an alternative to the default language explorer generated by DSL SDK.

Mexedge Dsl Explorer offers a new WPF tree explorer with an extended search feature for VS 2012 (and 2013 asap).

To test it, simply install Mexedge Dsl Explorer NuGet Package on your DslPackage project.



Ready to the future ?

  1. Open Visual Studio 2012
  2. Create a new project Domain-Specific Language Designer
  3. Select MinimalLanguage as Template
  4. Right-click on DslPackage
  5. Click on Manage NuGet Packages…
  6. Type Mexedge in Search textbox
  7. Select Mexedge Dsl Explorer
  8. Click on Install
  9. Accept the license agreement, it would be idiot to quit at this step.
  10. Answer yes at the question
    (Otherwise you would remove manually specific Template files ( and in order to be able to compile your solution)
