Visual Studio Update 2 has been RTM’d a few weeks ago, it is time to publish a new version of our Stylesheet Extension.

On top of a fair amount of refactoring the noticeable new feature is that we now support imports, variables and mixins for LESS stylesheets.

@import directives are now displayed in the Solution Explorer and selecting such a node within the explorer opens up the imported file:

Less @import auto navigate to

@import directive are also used to draw import maps in DGML format:

Less import map

LESS variable declarations are displayed within the Solution Explorer:

Less variable declaration & Go to definition

LESS variable references are displayed within the Solution Explorer tree and let users navigating to the declaration of the variable:

Less variable reference

LESS mixin declarations are displayed within the Solution Explorer:

Less mixin declaration

LESS mixin references are displayed and let users navigating to their declaration:

Less mixin reference

We have also added a new feature that impacts both CSS and LESS where we display the number of times a selector have been defined within a file:

Stylesheet selector occurence

The (2) suffix here means that the selector .btn-group-vertical is declared twice within the file.

Feedback is welcome on user voice
